Osinbajo Inaugurates 6.72km Road in Bayelsa State

On a recent visit to Bayelsa, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo inaugurated the newly completed 6.72km Agbura Oxbow Lake Road. This road serves as a convenient bypass for residents of Agbura and Ogbia communities, facilitating travel for motorists beyond the Swali market.

During the inauguration, Osinbajo expressed appreciation for Governor Douye Diri's efforts in improving the lives of the people in Bayelsa and enhancing infrastructure. He commended Diri for being a straightforward person who kept his promise made four years ago during the groundbreaking of the project, which took place in 2022.

Osinbajo noted that the road would open access to the Federal University in Otuok and the Oloibiri oil field, where large quantities of oil were first discovered. He thanked Diri for making life easier for the people of Bayelsa.

The project was commissioned by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu earlier in the month.
