Baze University Graduates 928 Youths in Digital Skills

Baze University graduated 928 youths in digital skills during a ceremony hosted by the Jigawa State Government at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Dutse. The event was attended by Governor Umar Namadi, Minister of Education Dr. Moruf Olatunji Alausa, and Minister of State for Education Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad.

Dr. Alhassan Abdulmutallib, representing Baze University, highlighted the graduation as a significant achievement under the IDEAS Project, aimed at equipping young Nigerians with essential skills for the digital economy. The training included subjects such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Software Engineering.

Initially, Baze University was granted funding to train 900 participants but received over 150,000 applications, leading to the selection of 55,500 for training. At the national level, over 4,500 participants earned Professional Diplomas, while more than 33,000 received Certificates of Participation.

Governor Namadi announced that 30 outstanding graduates would receive laptops, and four graduates secured employment with Baze University.
