Lamido Urges PDP Candidates to Build New Nigeria

Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State and a founding member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), met with five gubernatorial candidates from the PDP, including Isah Ali Pantami, who is the former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy. The meeting took place in Bamaina village, where Lamido, regarded as an elder statesman, offered guidance and wisdom to the candidates.

He stressed the importance of younger leaders in rebuilding Nigeria and urged the candidates to conduct issue-based campaigns rather than personal attacks. Lamido highlighted the need for unity and respect throughout the campaign period, particularly in addressing national challenges such as insecurity, economic hardship, and corruption.

He called for a focus on policies that would improve the lives of Nigerians, emphasizing that whoever emerges victorious in the elections must govern in the interest of the nation.
