Beautiful Beginning Academy Wins NUJ-FCT Media Quiz

Beautiful Beginning Academy emerged victorious in the NUJ-FCT 2026 Secondary School Media Literacy Quiz, defeating Cedar Hall Academy in a closely contested tiebreaker with a score of 8-6. The quiz, organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, aimed to enhance media literacy among secondary school students in Abuja.

In the first round, Beautiful Beginning Academy scored 115 points, while Cedar Hall Academy scored 95 points. In the second round, Beautiful Beginning Academy scored 90 points, and Cedar Hall Academy scored 110 points.

The council chairman, Ms. Grace Ik, emphasized the importance of mentoring younger generations in media work and encouraged teachers to continue organizing press club activities.

Yahaya Ndambabo, the coordinator of the press club and vice chairman of NUJ, reiterated the council's commitment to promoting journalistic media literacy and intellectual development among youth.
