Scholarship Awarded to Quiz Winner from Lagos School

Sanya Nurseri, a primary six pupil from Aguda Enora Onasanya Primary School, emerged as the overall winner of the 14th Annual Quiz Debate Competition organized by the Total Child Education Foundation. As a result, she received a fully funded six-year scholarship to a private secondary school in Lagos, which includes tuition, books, stationery, and a school bag, valued at millions of naira.

Dr. Bankol Sadip, the Executive Vice Chairman of the foundation, stated that the initiative aims to discover and nurture academic talent among children from underserved communities, providing them with opportunities to transform their lives.

Over the past 14 years, the foundation has sponsored 15 pupils to secondary school, with the first beneficiary now studying medicine at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. The annual competition costs approximately 1 million naira to organize, while the scholarship represents the foundation's largest financial commitment, amounting to several million naira.
