TuneWalker Unveils "Hakeem" with Unique Instrumentation

TuneWalker has launched a new project titled "Hakeem," named after the artist's birth name, Mustapha Adeniyi Hakeem. This project consists of two tracks with a total playtime of seven minutes, incorporating multiple instruments such as drums, saxophone, and bass guitar.

The music prominently features the Yoruba hourglass drum, known as gangan, which reproduces tone and rhythm, conveying messages through its ceremonial lineage. The opening of the project is marked by heavy percussion, creating an engaging auditory experience.

The track includes a trumpet hook that adds a brass band energy, pushing beyond typical club music. Additionally, an electric guitar contributes to the melody without being overly flashy.

The project is characterized by a gradual build-up towards a saxophone hook, which is noted as one of the strongest moments, emphasizing a patient approach to melody and groove.
