Benue Assembly suspends four members for attempting to impeach Speaker

The Benue State House Assembly has suspended four members for attempting to impeach the Speaker, Hyacinth Dajoh. The suspended lawmakers are Alfred Berger Kian, Terna Shimawua, Cyril Ekong Obi, and James Umoru.

The suspension will last for three months, and the House has also made leadership adjustments, with Kennedy Angbo becoming the new Deputy Majority Leader and Douglas Akya as the Deputy Chief Whip. Elias Audu has been appointed as the new spokesman of the House.

Additionally, the House has begun the screening process for five commissioner nominees, with Ogwu Odeh Imojime and Tiza scheduled for screening at a later date.
