Police Arrest Seven Suspects in Benue State Rescue Operation

On Wednesday, during a coordinated security operation near Ikobi, Otukpo in Benue State, police arrested seven suspects linked to recent abductions and successfully rescued victims. The operation was launched as part of a targeted search and rescue mission in the Amla forest area.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the police public relations officer, DSP Udem Edet, the arrests were a significant breakthrough in ongoing investigations. The rescued victims are currently receiving medical attention.

Benue State Commissioner of Police, Ifeanyi Emenari, assured residents that efforts would be intensified to rescue any remaining victims and restore security in the area. He urged the public to support security agencies by providing credible information regarding suspicious activities, which can be reported to police hotlines or the nearest police station.
