Troops Arrest Five Suspects in Benue State Operation

On March 23, 2026, troops deployed in Otukpo Local Government Area (LGA) of Benue State conducted an operation targeting suspected terrorist enclaves. During this operation, they apprehended five suspects and recovered several items, including six locally fabricated guns, sixteen empty cartridges, three machetes, and six mobile phones.

The recovered materials are currently in the custody of the troops, who are conducting further investigations to determine necessary actions. This operation is part of ongoing security efforts aimed at disrupting criminal and insurgent activities in Benue State.
