Benue Governor Slashes Transport Fares by 50% for Persons with Disabilities - Inclusive Policy Implemented Immediately

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has ordered a 50% reduction in transport fares for persons with disabilities using Benue Links Nigeria Ltd. This directive, effective immediately, follows the domestication of the national Disability Act in Benue.

The General Manager of Benue Links, Comrade Alexander Fanafa, highlighted the governor's proactive approach to addressing the transportation needs of people with disabilities. Governor Alia's administration has continuously supported the company, donating buses and vehicles to enhance transportation services.

The move aims to make transportation more accessible and affordable for persons with disabilities, reflecting the government's commitment to inclusivity and support for vulnerable groups.
