Benue Governor Alia Appoints Eunic Ogbenyi Acting Head of Service

On Wednesday, Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State appointed Eunic Ogbenyi as the acting head of service. This appointment follows the death of the former head of service, Agbogbo Od.

Eunic Ogbenyi, born on June 12, 1973, hails from Oju Local Government Area. She has an extensive educational background, having obtained her Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Mathematics and Physics from the College of Education, Oju in 1996, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in 2005, a Master’s degree in 2010, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education in 2021.

Ogbenyi joined the Benue State Teaching Service Board in 1998 and has held several strategic positions, including Deputy Director in the Education Department of Planning, Research, and Statistics. Governor Alia urged Ogbenyi to uphold professionalism and dedicate herself to public service, emphasizing the importance of aligning actions with the administration's vision for civil service reform.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
