Benue Governor Alia Appoints Dr. Eunice Ogbenyi Acting Head

Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, the Governor of Benue State, appointed Dr. Ihu Eunice Ogbenyi as the Acting Head of Service on an unspecified date, succeeding Dr. Agbogbo Od. Dr. Ogbenyi, born on June 12, 1973, in Oju Local Government Area, has a robust educational background, holding a National Certificate in Education in Mathematics and Physics (1996), a B.Sc. (2005), a Master’s degree (2010), and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (2021) from the Adamawa State University, Makurdi.

She began her civil service career in 1998 with the Benue State Teaching Service Board and has held various positions, including Deputy Director in the Ministry of Education and head of the Joint Consultative Committee on Education. Governor Alia charged Dr. Ogbenyi to uphold professional discipline in service delivery and emphasized the importance of aligning official actions with the reform agenda of his administration.
