Philip Agbese Urges Tinubu to Establish Military Base in Benue State Amid Rising Insecurity

Hon. Philip Agbese, a Deputy Spokesperson of the 10th House of Representatives, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to establish a military base in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State due to escalating insecurity.

This plea follows the abduction of nine worshippers from St. John's Catholic Church in Ojij Utonkon district, Ado LG, during a night vigil.

The Chairman of Ado LGC, Engr. Sunday Och, and the Police Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Command, DSP Udeme Edet, confirmed the attack.

Agbese condemned the incident, emphasizing the need for enhanced security interventions to address the continuous breaches and incessant kidnapping cases in Ado LG. He highlighted the urgent necessity of a military presence to restore security and confidence in the area, particularly in the face of the notorious Utonkon Forest, a hotspot for criminal activities and kidnappings.
