Benzema, Dembele don’t contribute to defence – Eden Hazard

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Eden Hazard recently criticized his former teammates Karim Benzema and Ousmane Dembele for their lack of contribution to defensive duties. Hazard pointed out that Benzema, in particular, did not put in the necessary effort in defense, leaving the team vulnerable.

He highlighted that while Benzema was a talented attacker, his defensive shortcomings were evident. Hazard also mentioned that Dembele, who he played with at Chelsea, also did not contribute much defensively.

Hazard emphasized the importance of players like Zack en Eoue Libre, who are good offensive players but also make an effort in defense. Hazard, who retired three months after leaving Real Madrid in July 2023, expressed his views on defensive responsibilities in football.
