Bill Gates to Testify Before Congress on Epstein Links

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, is set to appear before the U.S. Congress on Wednesday to answer questions about his past relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This testimony is part of an ongoing investigation by the House Oversight Committee, which is examining Epstein's high-profile associates. Gates' appearance follows the release of Justice Department documents that have raised further questions about his interactions with Epstein, who was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges involving minors at the time of his death in 2019.

Gates has welcomed the opportunity to testify and has maintained that he was unaware of Epstein's criminal activities. He has expressed regret over his association with Epstein, particularly noting that his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, had concerns about Epstein in 2013.

The committee also intends to question Gates about the extent of his knowledge regarding Epstein's crimes. The interview will reportedly not be videotaped, and Gates has engaged former Justice Department lawyer John Moran for support.
