Blaqbonez Sues Odumodu Blvck for ₦2.5 Billion Defamation

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez, whose real name is Emeka Akumefule, has initiated legal action against fellow artist Odumodu Blvck, born Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, demanding ₦2.5 billion in damages. The lawsuit follows a series of posts made by Odumodu on June 29, 2026, where he publicly labeled Blaqbonez as a sexual abuser.

Blaqbonez's legal team, Punuka Attorneys Solicitors, claims that these statements are defamatory and have caused significant harm to Blaqbonez's professional life and reputation. The lawsuit seeks ₦2 billion in general damages for injury to reputation and goodwill, along with ₦500 million in aggravated damages due to the malicious nature of the statements.

Additionally, Blaqbonez is requesting a court order to compel Odumodu to delete the offending posts from social media and to publish a full public apology, which should remain pinned on his verified Instagram account for at least 30 consecutive days. The total claim amounts to ₦2.55 billion, including legal costs of ₦50 million.
