Blaqbonez Threatens N2.55bn Lawsuit Against Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez, whose real name is Emeka Akumefule, has initiated a legal threat against fellow artist Odumodublvck, known as Tochukwu Ojogwu, for alleged defamation amounting to N2.55 billion. This follows a series of social media posts where Odumodublvck purportedly made damaging statements regarding Blaqbonez, which Blaqbonez's legal representatives claim could harm his professional reputation and career.

A pre-action demand letter was issued on July 7, 2026, warning that legal proceedings would commence if Odumodublvck does not comply within seven days. Blaqbonez's legal team seeks a perpetual injunction against further defamatory statements, the removal of specific posts, and a public apology.

They are also demanding N2 billion in general damages, N500 million for aggravated damages, and N50 million for legal costs. Odumodublvck has publicly maintained his stance on the allegations and questioned the lack of legal consequences from previous claims against him.

This ongoing dispute has garnered significant attention within Nigeria's music industry.
