Zamfara Governor Lawal Receives Blueprint Award for Excellence

On Wednesday, Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara state acknowledged the recognition received from Blueprint Newspapers, which awarded him the 2026 Award for Efficient Public Resource Management and Transparency. This acknowledgment reflects the media and the broader Nigerian public's awareness of his government's efforts to enhance the state's development.

In a statement issued in Gusau by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, Lawal dedicated the award to the people of Zamfara. He emphasized the successes achieved during his three years in office, particularly in security, education, health, economy, human capital, and infrastructure, attributing these accomplishments to his administration's commitment to transparency.

Lawal pledged to continue his efforts in reforming and improving service delivery in Zamfara. Salisu Umar, the managing director of Blueprint Newspapers, praised Lawal for his professional achievements and dedication to fiscal discipline and infrastructure development, noting his diverse background in diplomacy, banking, and politics.
