Zamfara Governor Lawal Accepts Blueprint Award for Transparency

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has accepted the Blueprint Newspaper’s 2025 Award for Efficient Public Resource Management and Transparency. He described the award as an encouragement to continue reforms aimed at enhancing accountability and prudent management of public resources.

Lawal conveyed his acceptance through a letter signed by Nuhu Salihu Anka, the Director-General of Media and Communication, in response to a notification from Blueprint Newspapers Limited regarding his nomination. He expressed gratitude to the management and editorial board for recognizing his administration's efforts in utilizing public resources and promoting transparency.

Lawal emphasized that the award reflects the collective hard work of his administration and stakeholders in improving governance. He stated that this recognition would motivate his administration to deepen its commitment to meaningful reforms and transparent governance, ensuring that government resources are deployed efficiently for the benefit of the people.

The letter acknowledged receipt of the nomination dated June 12, 2026.
