Bode George, Gana, Others Arrive For PDP NEC Meeting In Abuja

Prominent figures, including National Chairman Bode George and former Minister Jerry Gana, arrived in Abuja for the PDP NEC meeting scheduled to begin at 2 pm. The meeting, expected to be attended by governors and former ministers, will deliberate on the report of the National Zoning Committee in preparation for the November national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The atmosphere at the Wadata Plaza, PDP headquarters, was charged as members sang and cheered the arrival of party chieftains. The session is viewed as part of renewed efforts to reposition the opposition party ahead of the 2027 general election.

The zoning committee, chaired by Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri, was inaugurated in July and is tasked with allocating positions within the party. The NEC also approved the November national convention in Ibadan, chaired by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
