Bolarinwa Wins Best Boxer at Lagos Championship

Bolarinwa was named the best boxer at the Lagos championship held on Sunday at Agege Stadium. The event was organized by the Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF) in collaboration with the Lagos Amateur Boxing Association (LABA) and marked the first five-division championship.

Bolarinwa claimed the award after defeating Taiwo Rokeeb 5-0 in the men's 50kg category. His outstanding performance throughout the competition earned him a cash prize of N250,000.

Bolarinwa expressed gratitude for his victory, acknowledging the challenges faced during the competition and stating, "I feel happy and excited to be part of the championship." He hopes to represent Nigeria in future competitions, having previously achieved recognition as a national champion, a silver medalist at the 2023 National Youth Games, and a gold medalist at the 2024 National Intermediate Games. Wale Edun, founder of LBHF and president of the Nigeria Boxing Federation (NBF), described the championship as a product of a year committed to boxing development.
