DSS DG Oluwatosin Ajayi Honored at BON Awards in Abuja

The Broadcast Organisation of Nigeria (BON) held its annual awards night in Abuja on Wednesday, where Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), was honored with a special award for his support of the media industry.

The event, which took place on a Wednesday, recognized Ajayi's professionalism and respect for the media, as noted by Bayo Awosemo, the head of the BON steering committee. Ajayi received this recognition alongside other distinguished individuals, including Dr.

Dauda Lawal, the Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, and Alhaji Moham Idri, the Minister of Information and National Orientation. This latest accolade comes just five months after Ajayi received the International Press Institute (IPI) award for championing press freedom, which was presented on December 2 during an annual conference in Abuja.

Governor Lawal expressed gratitude for the recognition of hard work and the media's role in shaping society.
