Borno ADC Vows Strong Opposition To APC In 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Borno State has declared its intention to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general election. The party's convener in the state, Sheriff Banki, stated in an interview that the APC has silenced opposition voices, and the ADC aims to be a powerful opposition force in the state.

Banki emphasized the need for a strong opposition to hold the government accountable and provide a check and balance. The ADC plans to join a national coalition movement led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Borno leader Kashim Imam.

Banki assured that the party will support any candidate that emerges as the presidential nominee. The ADC aims to bring development to the state and challenge the manipulation of the ruling party.
