Kaumi Zulum Wins APC Reps Ticket in Borno Primaries

Kaumi Zulum, the brother of Borno Governor Babagana Zulum, emerged as the unopposed winner of the APC House of Representatives ticket for the Dikwa, Konduga, and Mafa Federal Constituency in Borno State. The primary elections were conducted under the supervision of Prophet Jone Eru, who announced the results in Maiduguri.

Other candidates declared winners include Fati Alkali for Mobbar, Usman Zana for Guzamala, and Ahm Jaha for Gwoza, Chibok, and Damboa constituencies. Abdulkadir Rahi won for Maiduguri Metropolitan Council with 38,576 votes, while Mustapha Abdullahi secured the Bama, Ngala, and Kala Balg constituency with 20,509 votes.

However, the primary election for Askira Uba and Hawul constituencies was declared inconclusive due to a complaint filed regarding aspirant Audu Zali. The committee decided to await the report from the appeal committee before announcing the final results.

The primaries were noted for their peaceful and transparent conduct, with strict adherence to electoral guidelines.
