EFCC Arrests Man for Impersonating Officer, Defrauding N3M

Nuhu Dahiru was arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Tashan Bama, along Bama Road, Maiduguri, Borno State, for allegedly impersonating an EFCC officer and obtaining N3 million through false pretences. The arrest occurred following credible intelligence received by the EFCC's Maiduguri Zonal Directorate.

Dahiru reportedly paraded himself as an EFCC officer, exploiting this false identity to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. At the time of his arrest, a total of N3 million was recovered from him.

The EFCC stated that this operation is part of its ongoing efforts to combat fraudulent activities and protect the public from impersonators. Following the completion of investigations, Dahiru is expected to be charged in court.
