Borno Police Command Loses Two ACPs in 24 Hours

The Borno Police Command has reported the deaths of two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) within a span of 24 hours. ACP Danjuma Muham passed away on February 20, 2026, after a prolonged illness.

The following day, February 21, 2026, ACP Abubakar Balteh died in a fatal motor accident. The command's spokesperson, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso, issued a statement expressing condolences and paying tribute to the deceased officers.

The announcement was made during a brief attended by members of the management team and heads of various departments, including the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Maiduguri. The loss of these two senior officers has been a significant blow to the Borno Police Command.
