Troops Detonate IED Along Ngoshe-Pulka Road in Borno

On March 22, 2023, troops from the 82 Division Task Force Battalion successfully detected and detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) along the major supply route in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. The device was discovered during a routine scan of the main supply route, specifically between Papa 4 and Papa 5 along the Ngoshe-Pulka road.

Security sources indicated that the IED was likely planted by terrorists targeting troop movements. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team carried out the detonation without causing any casualties.

This operation is part of ongoing counter-terrorism measures aimed at ensuring safe movement along critical routes in the northeast. Residents and road users have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects to security agencies for prompt action.
