BOUESTI Graduates 1,645 Students at Second Convocation

The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI) held its second convocation ceremony, graduating 1,645 students, of which 60 achieved first-class honors. Vice Chancellor Professor Andrew Omojola disclosed that the university has shown steady progress since its establishment in 2020, with enrollment rising from 2,400 to nearly 23,000 students.

He emphasized the institution's commitment to excellence, despite challenges such as inadequate infrastructure funding. Omojola noted several achievements, including the construction of a multipurpose hall, establishment of a postgraduate college, and the creation of a solar power technology hub.

The university also secured nine medals at the 27th Nigerian Universities Games Association (NUGA), ranking 14th among 97 universities. The convocation ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, will culminate in the formal conferment of degrees.

Omojola acknowledged the support from Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and the contributions of Chancellor Chief Wole Olanipekun and the university council led by Professor Patrick Aina.
