Urgent Call to Support BOUESTI's Growth in Ekiti

Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, has urged for immediate intervention to halt the declining support for Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology (BOUESTI) during the university's second convocation ceremony held in Ekiti. He warned that dwindling support could undermine the institution's long-term prospects and stressed that the success of BOUESTI should not rest on a few individuals.

Olanipekun called on the Ekiti State government and stakeholders to rekindle their commitment to the university's development, which has seen a gradual fade in support. He highlighted the critical need for infrastructure improvements, including the rehabilitation of internal campus roads and the furnishing of the Senate building.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Andrew Omojola noted the challenges faced by students, particularly regarding accommodation, as the student population grows.

Despite these challenges, the university has made notable strides, including the construction of a multi-purpose hall and the establishment of a postgraduate college. Governor Biodun Oyebanji reaffirmed the administration's commitment to education as a catalyst for sustainable development.
