Bournemouth Signs Right-Back Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla

Bournemouth has officially announced the signing of right-back Juanlu Sanchez from the Spanish club Sevilla in a deal valued at up to £11.1 million. The 22-year-old player has accumulated more than 100 senior appearances and has experience in prestigious competitions such as the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and La Liga.

Notably, he is also an Olympic gold medallist with Spain, having participated in the 2024 Olympics, where he played in the semi-final against Morocco and contributed to Spain's victory over France in the final. The transfer involves an initial fee of £9.4 million, with an additional £1.7 million in potential add-ons.

Tiago Pinto, Bournemouth's president of football operations, praised Juanlu's experience and competitive qualities, expressing optimism about his development under head coach Marco Rose. Juanlu becomes Bournemouth's third signing of the summer, following two other players acquired for £25.7 million each.
