Man Utd Targets Jorge Salinas as Backup Left-Back
Manchester United is actively pursuing the signing of left-back Jorge Salinas from Racing Santander during the summer transfer window. Initially, the club targeted Lewis Hall to address their left-back position; however, Newcastle United is unwilling to sell the 21-year-old player.
As a result, Manchester United has identified Salinas, a 19-year-old, as their Plan B. The club will face competition from Barcelona, who are also interested in acquiring Salinas's services. The situation highlights Manchester United's ongoing efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
