Governor AbdulRazaq Mourns Slain Forest Guards in Attack

Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State expressed deep sorrow following the death of five forest guards who were killed during a terrorist attack in the Nuku community of Kaiama Local Government Area. In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Alh Bashir Adigun, on Friday, AbdulRazaq praised the bravery and patriotism of the forest guards who managed to neutralize a dozen terrorists during the encounter.

He emphasized the ongoing threat that terrorism poses to local communities and urged the military high command to intensify efforts to address the situation. The governor extended his condolences to the families of the fallen guards, stating that they would forever be regarded as heroes.

He also announced the establishment of the Kwara State Security Strategy Committee, which will include retired military generals and top security officials to review and provide solutions to the state's security challenges.
