Airstrikes in Nigeria Neutralize Over 18 Terrorists

In a military operation conducted in the early hours of Friday, Nigeria's military reported that airstrikes in Tumbunma Baba, located in the north-east, resulted in the deaths of more than 18 terrorists. The operation was executed by the Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) task force, as stated by Captain Mohammed Goni, the task force's spokesman.

The operation involved both air and ground forces from Sector 1 of the task force, employing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms alongside attack aircraft. Intelligence gathered over several weeks had identified the location as a terrorist logistics base.

Following surveillance that began on September 9, the military confirmed the presence of terrorist structures, leading to precision strikes on identified targets. Ground troops were deployed to prevent escape routes, achieving a post-strike success rate of approximately 85%.

The operation significantly degraded the terrorists' capacity to regroup and receive supplies, with the task force urging the public to report credible information to aid in disrupting further terrorist activities.
