Military Airstrikes Eliminate Nine Terrorists in Borno

On Saturday, August 8, the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) conducted a precision airstrike in Dumba, Borno State, resulting in the neutralization of nine suspected terrorists. The operation was based on credible intelligence regarding terrorist activities in the region.

Security expert Zagazola Makama reported that the airstrike was part of an armed reconnaissance and air interdiction mission. The aircraft arrived over Dumba at approximately 2:58 p.m. and identified two groups of suspected terrorists: one group of three individuals walking along a road and another group of six pushing three carts suspected to be carrying weapons and logistics.

Instead of engaging immediately, the aircraft maintained surveillance until both groups converged and halted in a bush area, allowing for a more effective strike.
