Atiku Abubakar Criticizes Tinubu Over Hunger and Insecurity

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu for exacerbating hunger, poverty, and insecurity in Nigeria. In a statement issued on Friday by his senior special assistant on public communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku noted that Nigerians are facing severe economic hardships three years into Tinubu's administration.

He argued that instead of the promised "renewed hope," citizens are experiencing increased suffering and uncertainty. Atiku pointed out that millions can no longer afford basic necessities, and small to medium-sized businesses are struggling to survive under the current economic conditions.

He cited recent incidents of kidnappings, including the abduction of schoolchildren in Borno State and the kidnapping of pupils and a teacher in Oyo State, as evidence of the country's persistent security challenges. Atiku urged Nigerians to remain engaged in the democratic process, emphasizing that the ballot is a powerful tool for shaping the nation's future.

He also announced that the ADC would soon unveil a comprehensive policy blueprint focused on economic recovery, job creation, healthcare, and educational reforms.
