Atiku Abubakar Critiques Tinubu on Insecurity and Economy

Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party, criticized President Bola Tinubu's administration for its handling of Nigeria's increasing insecurity and economic difficulties. He responded to comments made by Tinubu's special adviser on information strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who accused the media of exaggerating security challenges.

Atiku argued that the government should be responsible for protecting citizens' lives and property, rather than imposing curfews that restrict movement. He highlighted the daily struggles of Nigerians, including rising food prices, inflation, and unemployment, which have worsened their hardships.

Atiku stated that Nigerians do not need explanations for their suffering but rather solutions. He condemned the administration's disconnect from the realities faced by citizens and criticized attempts to blame journalists for reporting on insecurity and economic challenges.
