Bandits Kidnap Five Worshippers in Ondo Church Attack

On Wednesday, during the early hours, bandits stormed a church in Uso, located in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria, abducting five worshippers. The attack occurred at a branch of the Celestial Church of Christ around 1:00 AM.

DSP Abayomi Jimoh, spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the incident in a message sent to journalists in Akure. Following the report, the police collaborated with the Nigerian Army and local vigilante groups to mobilize resources to the scene and commence a coordinated rescue operation.

Jimoh stated that efforts were ongoing to rescue the victims and apprehend the suspects involved in the kidnapping. He urged residents of the area to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies to provide credible information that could assist in the ongoing investigation and rescue operations.
