BREAKING: Benue Assembly Suspends Dajoh Following Resignation as Speaker

The Benue State House Assembly has suspended former Speaker Aondona Dajoh for three months following allegations of attempting to orchestrate the impeachment of Governor Hyacinth Alia. The decision was made after a motion raised by Terna Shimawua and seconded by James Umoru, with Shimawua being among the lawmakers who suspended Dajoh.

This comes after Dajoh resigned as Speaker last week. The Presiding Speaker, Alfred Berger, ruled in favor of the suspension, which was reduced from the initial recommendation of six months to three months.

The Assembly also confirmed the nomination of Timothy Yangien Ornguga as Commissioner, reversing their earlier stance. This resolution was adopted without a formal vote.
