Nigerian Court Convicts Kanu for Inciting Violence Against Security Personnel

The Federal High Court in Abuja has convicted the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Kanu, for inciting the killing of Nigerian security personnel in his broadcasts. Justice James Omotosho found Kanu guilty of multiple terror counts, stating that his broadcasts were intended to provoke widespread attacks on security operatives.
