Delta State Court Halts Nigeria Police from Enforcing Tinted Glass Permit Policy

The Delta State High Court, in a ruling by Justice Joe Egwu, has issued an interim injunction against the Nigeria Police Force, restraining them from enforcing the tinted glass permit policy scheduled to commence on January 2, 2026. The order came after a suit filed by Israel Joe against the Inspector General of Police, the Nigeria Police Force Commission, and the Police Command in Delta State.

The court granted the injunction to prevent harassment, arrest, detention, extortion, or any interference with citizens' constitutional rights pending further hearings. The court also substituted service on the concerned parties and set a hearing date for December 24, 2025.
