Delta State High Court Blocks Nigeria Police From Enforcing Tinted Glass Permit Policy

The Delta State High Court, under Justice Joe Egwu, has issued an interim injunction preventing the Nigeria Police Force from implementing the tinted glass permit policy from January 2, 2026. The ruling follows a suit filed by Mr.

Israel Joe against the Inspector General of Police and the Delta State Commissioner of Police. The court order prohibits the police from harassing, arresting, or extorting motorists and citizens in the name of enforcing the policy.

The case is set for a further hearing on December 24, 2025, to address the substantive issues.
