Dangote Refinery Hits 650,000bpd Capacity in Major Milestone

Dangote Refinery has achieved a major operational milestone with its Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) and Motor Spirit (MS) Block hitting a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day. The successful performance test runs following scheduled maintenance demonstrate the refinery's advanced engineering capabilities.

Chief Executive Officer David Bird highlighted the seamless integration and operational efficiency of the units, ensuring compliance with global standards. The CDU and MS Block, equipped with various processing units, are set to undergo further testing phases.

The refinery aims to produce world-class refined products, contributing to Nigeria's energy security and economic development. During recent festivities, the refinery supplied 45-50 million liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) daily, with plans to increase to 75 million liters to meet domestic market demands.

Bird reaffirmed the refinery's commitment to enhancing Nigeria's energy security and supporting industrial growth.
