Fake PFIPC DG Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi Arrested in Nigeria

Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claimed to be the Director General of the PFIPC, was arrested by the Nigerian Police Force in Osun State. CSP Anieti Iniedu confirmed that Adeyemi was apprehended without incident by an intelligence response team.

His arrest followed a week-long investigation into allegations surrounding his activities, which led to a warrant issued by Justice Moham Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja after Adeyemi failed to appear for his scheduled arraignment. He is expected to face eight counts of forgery and fraud, marked as FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025.

The police operation also included a raid on the residence of a family member to track his whereabouts. Adeyemi's case was listed as number 12 on the court's cause list, but his absence prompted the court to issue a bench warrant for his arrest.
