U.S. Lobbying Firm to Report PFIPC Director's Arrest

Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed director of the President Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), was arrested by Nigerian police following a bench warrant issued by a federal high court in Abuja. The U.S. lobbying firm, Von Batten Montagu York, disclosed that they would brief members of Donald Trump's administration about Adeyemi's arrest, which they allege is politically motivated to prevent him from sharing information with U.S. authorities.

The firm stated that Adeyemi is expected to provide documentary evidence and a sworn statement regarding the circumstances of his arrest. They indicated that the arrest occurred shortly after Adeyemi was preparing to speak with senior members of the Trump administration.

The firm also mentioned that they would keep the public updated on developments surrounding the arrest and that they had already briefed members of Trump's team about the allegations against Adeyemi, which include conspiracy, forgery, and impersonation.
