Police Arrest PFIPC Boss Adeniyi Adeyemi for Fraud Charges

Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the director general of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force following a bench warrant issued by the Federal High Court in Abuja. The warrant was issued after Adeyemi failed to appear before Justice Moham Umar on Tuesday, where he was scheduled to be arraigned on eight counts of forgery and fraud.

The prosecution, led by Inspector General of Police, Wisdom Madaki, had applied for the bench warrant due to Adeyemi's absence during the proceedings marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025. The charges against him include allegations of impersonation related to his purported role in the PFIPC.

Key witnesses expected to testify during the trial include Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other officials. Adeyemi is now in police custody as the legal proceedings continue.
