FG Declares Public Holidays for Easter Celebration

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Friday and Monday as public holidays to mark the Easter celebration. This announcement was made by Dr.

Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, the Minister of Interior, on behalf of the federal government. In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr.

Magdalen Ajani, the government extended congratulations to Christians in Nigeria and the diaspora on this joyous occasion. Dr.

Ojo urged Nigerians to imbibe virtues of selflessness, forgiveness, forbearance, and love, which are exemplified in the teachings of Jesus Christ. He emphasized the importance of these values in fostering tolerance and unity within communities, which he believes are essential for national cohesion.

The minister reiterated the government's commitment to making decisions that will lead to the rebirth of the nation, economic growth, and shared prosperity, wishing all Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration.
