Nigerian Government Removes Math Requirement for Arts Admissions

The Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria has announced the removal of Mathematics as a compulsory requirement for Arts and Humanities admissions in tertiary institutions. This new policy aims to increase access to higher education by revising the entry requirements for Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

Students seeking admission across various disciplines will now need a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics. The reform is part of efforts to enhance access to tertiary education nationwide.
