Uche Nnaji Arrested at Enugu Airport, Faces ICPC Probe

Uche Nnaji, the former Minister of Science and Technology, was arrested at Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu on Wednesday while preparing to board a charter flight to Abuja. Sources familiar with the situation indicated that Nnaji was taken into custody by airport security operatives.

He is expected to face questioning by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) regarding allegations of corrupt practices related to his time in office. Nnaji resigned from his ministerial position last year following allegations of submitting a forged academic certificate.

As of the report, neither the ICPC nor Nnaji had issued an official statement regarding his arrest or the allegations against him.
