Ifechukwu Dennis Arrested for Cloning Tinubu's Voice

Ifechukwu Dennis was apprehended by a crack team from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Benin, Edo State, for allegedly cloning the voice of President Bola Tinubu. This arrest occurred following an investigation into manipulated audio that was purportedly used to deceive the public.

The audio clip, which was shared on social media, featured a voice resembling that of President Tinubu, suggesting that he urged opposition politician Peter Obi to step down from the presidential race. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President, condemned the video and labeled it as a complete fabrication.

He announced that legal action would be taken against those spreading the deepfake content. Onanuga emphasized that this incident represents a significant abuse of social media platforms and called for accountability for those disseminating fake audio.

The police are expected to issue an official statement regarding the arrest.
