INEC Resumes Result Uploads for Osun Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has resumed the upload of results from the Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV). As of the report, 3,482 results had been uploaded from a total of 3,763 polling units, representing 92.53% of the expected results.

Voters in Osun State's 30 local government areas participated in the election to elect a governor for the next four years. The race includes incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Bola Oyebamiji from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Najeem Salaam from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and other candidates.

Earlier, there were concerns when the result uploads appeared to stall for over two hours, prompting reactions on social media, including from Afrobeats star David Adeleke, who questioned the halt in the upload process.
